ARE THE DEMOCRATS FIGHTING A CIVIL WAR?

That is the provocative hypothesis put forward by Danial Greenfield at Sultan Knish. On its face, it sounds hyperbolic, but Greenfield makes a rather sober case. You should read it all, but this will give you some of the flavor:

How do civil wars happen?

Two or more sides disagree on who runs the country. And they can’t settle the question through elections because they don’t even agree that elections are how you decide who’s in charge.

That’s the basic issue here. Who decides who runs the country? When you hate each other but accept the election results, you have a country. When you stop accepting election results, you have a countdown to a civil war.

“Real Socialism” Has Indeed Been Tried — And It’s Been a Disaster

To my Millennial friends who favor Socialism:  beware of what you are asking for. UB

May 5th marks the 200th Anniversary of Karl Marx’s birth, and in spite of inspiring a wide variety of political movements that have caused countless human rights disasters, Marx continues to be an object of admiration among many intellectuals and artists. One such example can be seen in Raoul Peck’s new film The Young Karl Marx which portrays Marx is a principled radical with a laudable thirst for justice.

Fortunately for Marx the man and his reputation, he never personally gained control of the machinery of any state. Thus, the dirty work of actually implementing the necessary “dictatorship of the proletariat” was left up to others. And those who attempted to bring Marxism into the light of practical reality, quickly found that applied Marxism brings impoverishment and the destruction of human freedom. Lessons for Millennials from Cuba’s New Leader

“Miguel Diaz-Canel was officially named as the new leader of Cuba on Thursday,” proclaimed CNN. This came as a surprise to observers around the world, particularly American millennials who never got word that Miguel Diaz-Canel was even running.

What were his poll numbers with blue-collar workers, women, and the gay and transgender community? What policies was he advancing to improve the Cuban economy? How did he stack up against political rivals in other parties?

Blue Wave Crashing? Poll Shows Support Amongst Millennials Fading

News Commentary

A new poll of registered voters shows support for the Democrat Party is starting to wane amongst a rather shocking segment of the population – millennials.

The group who typically fits in with liberal thought, or the lack thereof, is not only losing their enthusiasm for the party, but they’re starting to recognize the Republican Party as better stewards of the economy.

What an absolute disaster for Democrats who simply assume that the midterm elections, six months away, are there’s for the taking.

According to a new Reuters/Ipsos national poll of over 16,000 registered voters between the coveted age bracket of 18 to 34, support for the Democrat Party over the last two years has dropped 9 points, down to 46 percent overall.

That kind of low-energy love for the opposition party may not bode well for their future, especially with a need to recapture so many seats in 2018.

The enthusiasm gap “presents a potential problem for Democrats who have come to count on millennials as a core constituency,” Reuters writes, “and will need all the loyalty they can get to achieve a net gain of 23 seats to capture control of the U.S. House of Representatives in November.”

How could this possibly be with Democrats tagging the trendy new, uber-cool slogan, “A Better Deal: Better Skills, Better Jobs, Better Wages?”

That alone should draw in the young ones.

The worst part for liberals is that these young folks are enjoying the concept of paying less in taxes and getting bonuses for their work that Democrats openly refer to as “crumbs.”

One voter cited in the Reuters article, a 34-year-old African American, almost sheepishly admitted that Republicans are doing more for him than that other party.

“It sounds strange to me to say this about the Republicans, but they’re helping with even the small things,” he said. “They’re taking fewer taxes out of my paycheck. I notice that.”

People notice more money in their paychecks. They notice ‘crumbs.’

In January, Philippe Reines, a former top adviser to Hillary Clinton, worried that millennials would vote Republican once they saw their taxes go down.

He worried they would become content once they saw more money in their pockets.

“I hope millennials don’t fall into a lull,” Reines said. “God knows how many of them will see their taxes go down and base it just on that …”

Perhaps now would be a good time to remind those very same millennials that Democrats have vowed to take those tax cuts away from them, to raise their taxes and decrease the amount of take-home pay they receive.

“It may have to be a ‘replace and repeal,’” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has said of the GOP tax bill. “Replace them (Republicans) and repeal the bill.”

Is that something you really want?

The Pied Pipers of the Millennials

June 12, 2017

By Christopher Chantrill

A couple of weeks ago, John O’Sullivan was confidently writing about the British Conservative Party finally getting it all together, and uniting the three strands of Toryism — the economic freedom and enterprise of Thatcher, the nationalism of Churchill and Disraeli, and the skepticism of Peel and Lord Salisbury — into a real political force at last. And I wrote approvingly of this prospect on my blog.

Well, so much for that. After the British General Election on June 8, we are being taught that Corbyn’s leftism is in the driver’s seat, powered by the enthusiasm of Millennials. Continue reading “The Pied Pipers of the Millennials”

More Federal control leads to ineptitude and destruction of the American spirit.

Should we dissolve the Indian reservations?

The New York Times had a long article describing how the town of Whiteclay, Nebraska (population 12) sells millions (yes, millions!) of alcoholic beverages every year because the town is just over the border from the local Indian reservation, where alcohol is banned.  (Forgive me for calling them American Indians, but as nearly all the people reading this are “Native Americans,” it’s a much more descriptive and specific term.)

The situation is so bad that in Whiteclay, you can find dozens of American Indians lying comatose on the streets, drunk out of their minds, like a scene out of The Walking Dead.

May I Have This Dance?

weasel-1A few days ago I listened to this interview on YourVoice™ Radio.  If you are anything like me you will be outraged.  The interview  was of Special Projects Director of Citizens4Trump Jack Posobiec hosted by  co-host Cari Kelemen on Tuesday.  Use the link below if you wish to listen for yourself. It is a little more than thirteen minutes.

Jack explained in detail EXACTLY what went down with the infamous Trump audio and how it was all just a coup attempt by GOP elites.

All I can say is WOW!  Not because I am excited but because I am flabbergasted and astonished at the level of infighting, gamesmanship, ploys and tactics that are going on in our Nations Capital, both by Democrats and Republicans.  They should know better than this and should also know that the American people expect more from them than this type of abominable behaviour.

Why do they do this?  I submit that it is because the Washington elite are more interested in serving themselves by holding on to power and control than they are in representing the people and our wishes.  The American people be damned!  I have come to the conclusion that I am not at all represented in Washington.  I dare to say many of you feel the same.

Here’s the story:

The acronym WOW stands for “Weasels of Washington,” the so called Washington “establishment.”

Do you know what weasels do?  They do a dance right before they suck the life out of their prey.  Sound familiar?

I have witnessed this happen when I was a boy at my grandmas house. I spent most of my childhood there helping my grandma with the garden and tending to the livestock.  One day I checked on the chickens, as I usually did and they were fine.  The next day they were all dead and appeared emaciated.  I was very sad and disappointed.  In wonderment, I asked my grandma what happened to our chickens?  Now, I loved and greatly respected granma, so of course I believed anything she said. Here is what she told me:  “they were attacked by weasels that sucked the blood (life) out of them.”  I believed that for the longest time until recently when I learned that weasels may lap the blood but they don’t suck it out.  It was a fairy tale.  I still have no idea what killed those helpless chickens.

weasel-2Nevertheless I will use this fairy tale to portray what I see the Washington elite (the WOWs) are doing to the American people.  They are literally sucking the life out of our great nation and out of its fine citizens all in the name of “we know what is best.”

They have no semblance of what it means to “serve the people.”  They only know how to serve their own survivalist tendencies, just like a weasel does.  They forget that the founders vested political power in the hands of “we the people,” and that we in turn have given our consent to them to represent us.  Instead they are arrogant enough to think that they should rule over us and that they are a special “ruling class” that is unaccountable to us or to anyone for that matter.

Unfortunately, not only do they forget but they have managed to convince a large number of trusting citizens that they are their for them.  (BTW, I do have a bridge for sale). They have managed to do this by being pathological liars and providing us with false stories and perceptions about how hard they work for us.

Would you join me in shouting shouting“BULLHONKY!”  Yes it is an actual word, better than what I am really thinking.
Just trying to keep it clean.
