Millennial Candidates Embrace Socialism, while Venezuela Chokes on it

Franklin Bynum was unchallenged and won the Democratic nomination to become a criminal court judge in Houston. Mr. Bynum is an avowed socialist and he’s not alone in that conservative state. At least 16 other socialists appeared on the ballot in primary races across Texas.

Socialism has oozed out of college classrooms and into the ballot box. “Yes, I’m running as a socialist,” Mr. Bynum told the New York Times. “I’m a far-left candidate. What I’m trying to do is be a Democrat who actually stands for something, and tells people, ‘Here’s how we are going to materially improve conditions in your life.’”

Wanna be Judge Bynum is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), which is growing by leaps and bounds after Trump’s election, even in conservative states.

The NYT reports, “D.S.A.’s membership has increased from about 5,000 to 35,000 nationwide. The number of local groups has grown from 40 to 181, including 10 in Texas. Houston’s once-dormant chapter now has nearly 300 members.”

“Real Socialism” Has Indeed Been Tried — And It’s Been a Disaster

To my Millennial friends who favor Socialism:  beware of what you are asking for. UB

May 5th marks the 200th Anniversary of Karl Marx’s birth, and in spite of inspiring a wide variety of political movements that have caused countless human rights disasters, Marx continues to be an object of admiration among many intellectuals and artists. One such example can be seen in Raoul Peck’s new film The Young Karl Marx which portrays Marx is a principled radical with a laudable thirst for justice.

Fortunately for Marx the man and his reputation, he never personally gained control of the machinery of any state. Thus, the dirty work of actually implementing the necessary “dictatorship of the proletariat” was left up to others. And those who attempted to bring Marxism into the light of practical reality, quickly found that applied Marxism brings impoverishment and the destruction of human freedom. Blue Wave Crashing? Poll Shows Support Amongst Millennials Fading

News Commentary

A new poll of registered voters shows support for the Democrat Party is starting to wane amongst a rather shocking segment of the population – millennials.

The group who typically fits in with liberal thought, or the lack thereof, is not only losing their enthusiasm for the party, but they’re starting to recognize the Republican Party as better stewards of the economy.

What an absolute disaster for Democrats who simply assume that the midterm elections, six months away, are there’s for the taking.

According to a new Reuters/Ipsos national poll of over 16,000 registered voters between the coveted age bracket of 18 to 34, support for the Democrat Party over the last two years has dropped 9 points, down to 46 percent overall.

That kind of low-energy love for the opposition party may not bode well for their future, especially with a need to recapture so many seats in 2018.

The enthusiasm gap “presents a potential problem for Democrats who have come to count on millennials as a core constituency,” Reuters writes, “and will need all the loyalty they can get to achieve a net gain of 23 seats to capture control of the U.S. House of Representatives in November.”

How could this possibly be with Democrats tagging the trendy new, uber-cool slogan, “A Better Deal: Better Skills, Better Jobs, Better Wages?”

That alone should draw in the young ones.

The worst part for liberals is that these young folks are enjoying the concept of paying less in taxes and getting bonuses for their work that Democrats openly refer to as “crumbs.”

One voter cited in the Reuters article, a 34-year-old African American, almost sheepishly admitted that Republicans are doing more for him than that other party.

“It sounds strange to me to say this about the Republicans, but they’re helping with even the small things,” he said. “They’re taking fewer taxes out of my paycheck. I notice that.”

People notice more money in their paychecks. They notice ‘crumbs.’

In January, Philippe Reines, a former top adviser to Hillary Clinton, worried that millennials would vote Republican once they saw their taxes go down.

He worried they would become content once they saw more money in their pockets.

“I hope millennials don’t fall into a lull,” Reines said. “God knows how many of them will see their taxes go down and base it just on that …”

Perhaps now would be a good time to remind those very same millennials that Democrats have vowed to take those tax cuts away from them, to raise their taxes and decrease the amount of take-home pay they receive.

“It may have to be a ‘replace and repeal,’” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has said of the GOP tax bill. “Replace them (Republicans) and repeal the bill.”

This Conservative Millennial Explains Why Trump’s Policies Are Better for Black Americans

Of course, our conservative policies are better for a black community. If you think of everything that we’ve gone through historically, it is because of Democratic policies that we are worse off today than we were 60 years ago.

Turning Point USA’s Candace Owens spoke to The Daily Signal’s Rob Bluey about why conservative policies are better for the African-American community. Owens appeared at the White House’s Generation Next forum for millennials Thursday. An edited transcript of her Daily Signal interview is below.

Rob Bluey: How did you become a conservative? Continue reading “This Conservative Millennial Explains Why Trump’s Policies Are Better for Black Americans”

We want our schools to be safe.
One of the great tragedies of our time has been the wanton slaughter of helpless students, faculty, and staff in what could – and should – be one of the safest places in the world

Soros is Busy Buying District Attorneys

Leftist kingmaker George Soros appears to understand how America really works.

While we are all wrapped up in the next midterm political election, Soros is doing something a bit different. And he’s been doing it for a few years now, and having some success.

Soros figured out who really runs the nation – who really wields the power – and it’s not the political class. In fact, it’s what we conservatives have warned of for as long as I can remember.

It’s the judicial class who runs America – from the black-robed oligarchs at the Supreme Court all the way down to local judges and prosecutors.

And that is where Soros is concentrating his fire, as it were. He’s pouring money into otherwise inconsequential State and local District Attorney races.

Soros understands that the real power is in the judiciary. Judges are more often than not appointed, so the next best thing is the elected District Attorney. They can sue most everyone, on behalf of illegal aliens, or the green lobby, or whomever, as well as gum up the legislature.

Long ago the judicial class appointed itself as the sole arbiter of what is proper in America. If for whatever reason, they disagree with a clear legislative matter, they deem it unconstitutional, and we lemmings are to just accept it.

In 2016, the Daily Signal wrote, “As part of his quest to overhaul the American justice system, liberal billionaire George Soros is targeting local prosecutor races like the one in Harris County, a large jurisdiction that includes the city of Houston.”

It looked like Soros had backed the wrong horse, as his guy, Morris Overstreet was defeated in the Democrat primary, despite $100,000 in Soros money. After Overstreet’s opponent, Kim Ogg, had won the primary, she “condemned the Soros donation to Overstreet intended to defeat her, calling it ‘a last-minute money dump to try to buy the nomination.’” She was right to do so.

But she wasn’t so upset as to refuse Soros’s dirty money in order for her to buy the general election. Ogg was elected Harris County district attorney “after going on to beat the Republican incumbent, Devon Anderson. She won the general election with the aid of about $878,000 from the Soros-funded Texas Safety and Justice PAC.”

Now it’s 2018 and Soros has his sights set on another Texas District Attorney race. Soros invested almost $1 million in the Bexar County Texas DA race. His puppet, Joe Gonzales, “upset incumbent Bexar County DA Nico LaHood in the Democratic primary Tuesday. If he wins, Gonzales will join at least 11 progressive lawyers since 2015 who have won district attorney’s seats thanks to massive financial donations from Soros.”

Soros spent $958,000 through the super PAC, Texas Justice & Public Safety supporting Gonzales. And that was just the Democrat primary. Wow – what a surprise – the same PAC as supported Ogg in 2016. Well – almost. Last time it was Texas Safety and Justice. Think maybe it’s just a typo? Think again.

“Soros has the routine down. He uses powerhouse Democratic law firm Perkins Coie to set up a super PAC named some variant of “Justice & Public Safety.” The super PAC will surface late in a DA race, using the kind of capital typically reserved for a national political race to fund a series of attack ads benefitting Soros’s preferred candidate, who wins almost every time.”

And the law firm, Perkins Coie, should also ring a bell. It’s the same clique of attorneys contracted to hire the firm that created the phony Trump dirty dossier. Small world isn’t it. Not really. Dig deep enough and you will always find Soros, the Godfather of political corruption’s name attached to these transactions.

The American Left Has Won

July 6, 2016

By Steve McCann
The Democrats in the House of Representatives recently staged a theatrical sit-in ostensibly demanding that they, as an oppressed and victimized minority, be allowed to vote on additional gun control measures. This childish attempt to mimic the demonstrations attendant to the union organization drives of the early 20th Century and the civil rights movement of 1960’s was produced by myopic fools who do not seem to understand that they have won… Continue reading “The American Left Has Won”
